I am a professionally experienced counsellor, psychotherapist and UKCP approved supervisor with a combined 36 years of experience within the NHS (Mental Health) and academic sector.

A previous senior lecturer, researcher and practitioner, I have actively contributed through paper and workshop presentation nationally. I am a registered Psychotherapist and Supervisor with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, Registered Psychodrama Practitioner, Trainer, Supervisor and Training Supervisor with the British Psychodrama Association, Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. How quickly can I be seen?

Focus Health Counselling and Psychotherapy Services will respond to any enquiry via email, callback or telephone message on 07939 061 822 within 24 hours and will endeavour to arrange a first appointment within 48 hours.
What can I expect on first meeting?

You can rely on a warm and respectful welcome and for what is discussed to be treated with professional confidence. You will be given information regarding the process of counselling and psychotherapy in order that you can make informed choices regarding continuation. This will include reference to the UKCP or BACP code of professional conduct. The first meeting will take the opportunity to gather appropriate information and to begin the process of positive and affirmative forward steps.

What is Professional registration?

Huw Richards adheres to the highest possible standards of professional practice and is an accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy as both a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. He is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the British Psychodrama Association as a registered psychodramatist, trainer and training supervisor. He is also a Senior Practitioner Coach and member of the EMCC.
What are the fees?

Sessional costings reflect the outstanding professional standards of Focus Health Counselling and Psychotherapy Services. Appointments can be secured promptly by contacting us on Tel: 07939061822, or through our Counselling appointments page. Payment can be made via debit/credit card, cheque or Paypal. Please note we do not accept cash payments.

Individual Counselling or Psychotherapy sessions with Huw Richards £95.

Individual clinical supervision with Huw Richards £65

Cancellation of appointments require 24 hours of notice or full payment will be necessary. Sessions are for 1 hour. Please note that the services provided are not suitable for emergency or mental health crisis need.
